Cape Cod

Where golden beaches meet charming New England villages, and every sunset feels like a masterpiece

There's a reason Cape Cod has captured the hearts of travelers for generations. This 65-mile hook of sandy shores and salt-weathered cottages offers something increasingly rare in our fast-paced world: a place where time genuinely seems to slow down. Here, the rhythm of the tides sets the pace, and the biggest decision you'll face is whether to spend the afternoon at the beach or exploring a quaint village downtown.

Our properties in Dennis sit at the very heart of Cape Cod, perfectly positioned between the calm, warm waters of Cape Cod Bay to the north and the Atlantic-facing beaches to the south. From your doorstep at Captain Chase Road, you're just minutes from some of the Cape's most beloved beaches, acclaimed restaurants, and the kind of authentic New England charm that postcards try (and fail) to capture.

The Beaches

Dennis is blessed with beaches on both sides of the Cape, each with its own personality. The bay side offers calm, warm waters perfect for families, while the south-facing beaches bring the energy of Nantucket Sound.

Mayflower Beach

The crown jewel of Dennis's bayside beaches. At low tide, you can walk nearly a mile out on the exposed sandbars, making it a paradise for shell collectors and families with young children. The sunsets here are legendary—arrive early to claim your spot.

Corporation Beach

Another bayside gem with the same warm, gentle waters but often fewer crowds than Mayflower. The beach gets its unusual name from a 19th-century fishing corporation. Today, it's known for excellent swimming and spectacular tidal pools.

West Dennis Beach

A mile-long stretch of golden sand facing Nantucket Sound. The waters here are a bit cooler and the waves more pronounced—perfect for boogie boarding and more active beach days. The beach has excellent facilities and a lively atmosphere.

Chapin Memorial Beach

A quieter alternative to Mayflower with equally stunning low-tide walks. This beach attracts a more local crowd and offers a more peaceful experience. The parking lot fills up quickly on summer weekends, so arrive early.

Where to Eat

Cape Cod's dining scene has evolved far beyond the classic clam shack (though those are still wonderful). Dennis and the surrounding towns offer everything from waterfront fine dining to the freshest lobster rolls you'll ever taste.

The Ocean House Restaurant

Must Visit

Perched right on the beach in Dennis Port, The Ocean House delivers the quintessential Cape Cod dining experience. The seafood is impeccably fresh, the views are stunning, and the atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between casual and special. Their lobster bisque has earned a devoted following, and the raw bar is among the best on the Cape. Make reservations for sunset—you'll thank us later.

Sesuit Harbor Cafe

Local Secret

This unassuming spot at Sesuit Harbor serves what many consider the best lobster roll on Cape Cod—and that's saying something. It's a no-frills operation: order at the window, grab a picnic table, and watch the fishing boats come and go while you eat. The fried clams are exceptional, and the chowder is the real deal. Cash only, and expect a line in summer. Worth every minute of the wait.

The menu changes seasonally, but always features locally sourced ingredients prepared with care. It's the kind of place where you might start with oysters, move to a perfectly seared duck breast, and finish with a dessert that makes you forget your diet entirely. Perfect for a special dinner out.
